The life of a person means a continuous path of overcoming obstacles, not onlyexternal but also the older forms of his own consciousness, to be reborn at a higher level. This is the way a person to maturity.

Sergei Nizovtsev

Life way of a human implies constant overcoming not only of external obstacles, but ageing forms of his own mind too, in order to resurrect on a higher level. This is the way of a human to maturity. THE Captain of the yacht "Scorpius" and leader of the first Russian-UKRAINIAN SAILING POLAR EXPEDITION Sergei Nizovtsev. Graduated Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO). Yachtsman. Qualified Yacht Master Ocean. Routes of his journeys – extremal sea tracks. Honoured Polar Explorer. Numerous times had been in Arctic and at the North Pole with skydiving and diving expeditions.

Sergei Nizovtsev was born on 19th of November in Chita, despite the circumstances were that Bulgaria could become a birthplace of a new man. Perhaps, it was the reason that the first foreign language Sergei studied in MGIMO was Bulgarian. Bulgaria, a country of kind sea and sun, and the city Chita, called so because of its location on the bank of the river Chita, became a ground in formation of a person, who devoted his life to searching, fighting, risk, sky and sea.

In his juvenile years Sergei headed to participate in constructions, conducted by young people of Komsomol. He became stone-setter of the third category, because honestly believed that this is a real man's specialty. By the way, enrollment competition there was much higher than when Sergei later passed exams for MGIMO. Romanticism that he had drawn out from books of his favorite writer Romain Rolland called Sergei to hit a road, desire to reach his goals torn off a place, and belief into nearest future, full of light, helped to fulfill dreams. The author of musical paintings Mikalojus Čiurlionis (Lithuania), who's art fascinated Sergei, said once: “I will fly to far worlds, to the land of eternal beauty, sun and fantasy, into an enchanted country...”

Sergei greatly wished to feel state of flying, of free fall and make sure that the creations of this artist – new spiritual continent and Čiurlionis  – its Cristoforo Colombo.

With the only aim – to see his paintings – Sergei fair-beating reached Vilnius. Had to spend night on a railway station, in the morning found a museum, which doors were closed, because it was Monday, day-off. But the aim was worth all means. With one ruble in a pocket, which was enough for one bottle of butter milk, managed to wait till the next day... and got into the museum. Looking at creations of a genius of human thought, realized that deeply moved. The dream of SERGEI was fulfilled.

With a budget of one ruble a day nine days Sergei reached Khabarovsk. Passed through many difficulties: three times was withdrawn from board the train because possessed no ticket, one time was seized by police, took a ride on a cargo wagonage, “hitch-hiked” a train, lifting his hand. After he reached Khabarovsk, borrowed 25 rubles and headed to Nakhodka – the city in Primorsky region of Russia, located on shores of the bay Nakhodka of the Japanese sea.

In a city that by right carries the title “Gates of Russia to Pacific ocean”, he finally defined what he wants and realized that his way laid to the sea. It was 1976 in the calendar. From that moment has started the maritime life of Sergei Nizovtsev.

In this rough time Sergei had gained qualification of steering motorist of the first class. The job later allowed to return to Leningrad not fair-beating but by plane to realize one more wish of his – to get higher education. However, life threw more of new opportunities not to sit on one place, but to see other cities and learn from “A” to “Z” how ALL starts from a zero. Tashkent, Kiev, Moscow, Saint-Petersburg... After graduating from university in 1987 Sergei got assignment on Russian heavy engineering enterprise. That was IZHORSKY FACTORY (situated in KOLPINO, Saint-Petersburg).

Its nomenclature contains powerful diggers, rolling-mill machinery, energy equipment (“Izhorskie factories” - the only in country producer of nuclear reactor vessels). In 90s Sergei had successfully started his business.

And in 1994 had changed everything in his life: life for risk, persistancy, industriousness and wish to try himself brought Sergei into extreme skydiving, journey to the North pole. He became fond of yachts and airships.

Many years he's been going to one of his most significant projects, which he fulfills now with a team of fellow-thinkers on the yacht “Scorpius”.

INTERESTS

The businessman Sergei Nizovtsev has founded a company “Sauna-Pro” that produces switches for banya (Russian sauna). The reason of creating such an unusual enterprise is, of course, Sergei's own passion for banya. He has always loved to take a steam-bath at least two times a week, and in his house in Saint-Petersburg he built several steam-rooms of various modes. Practical and creative person, Sergei organized production in Russia.

Despite the price of switches that is three times higher than of common ones – 700-900 rubles, this is a product of medicine and that's why is popular.

In Kostromskoi region switches from birch and oak are cut, in Stavropol – from sage, laurel and fir. Nizovtsev invents new recipes. For example, in Stavropol they bind switches that have, as it is pointed out on a pack, anticellulite effect.

The secret of success from Sergei Nizovtsev:

To be in a right place, in a right time and, herewith, to make a right decision. To say that he has always managed it, Sergei can't, but sometimes happened...

Leaving these shores a year ago, we had a slight idea about what we’ll encounter, how hard it will be and at some times - almost impossible to accomplish what we had conceived.
